The Timeline, Locations, and Death of Emmett Till (part 2 of 3)

Today I visited the locations of Emmett Till’s kidnapping, murder, and eventual discovery. While these were not easy to find, it was important to walk through these historical locations to help remember this tragic event that sparked the Civil Rights movement in America.

Rosa Parks said that she thought of Emmett Till when she refused to move to the back of the bus where she was arrested. Her actions later went on to inspire the likes of Martin Luther King and other civil rights leaders.
