The most important revolutionary battle you never heard of…was the Battle of Great Bridge in December of 1775. Lord Dunmore was governor of the territory and began to get pushed out of the capital (Williamsburg) down towards Norfolk. He decided to try and push for Great Bridge…and well…the rest is history.
